How do I change my font colour?
Last updated 17 June 2026.
Guide
You can change your font colour using the Text Colour tool, by choosing from the colour palette or adding a custom colour.

To change the colour of your font, follow these steps:

1

Select your text

Select the text you want to change.

A text box is selected on a design, displaying an edit border and a formatting toolbar within the VistaPrint Design Studio.
2

Open the text colour tool

In the text toolbar, choose the text colour option. It's represented by a coloured dot that shows the current colour of your selected text.

The colour selection tool is highlighted in the top editing toolbar, represented by a circular icon showing the current text fill.
3

Choose your new colour

Pick a colour from the colour palette, use the eyedropper tool to match a colour from your design or enter a HEX or CMYK colour code for an exact match.

A Text colour sidebar is open, showing a detailed gradient map and HEX code field used to define a specific custom shade.
4

Apply your colour

When you select a colour, it will be applied instantly to the selected text. If you want to try different colours, repeat the steps until you find the perfect match.

The Text colour panel displays a library of swatches; a blue one has been selected and the selected text field is the same colour
