I wish you guys contacted me about it. It’s a business card so if the phone number is bigger would be much better. It’s hard to tell without printing it out.

We’d like to help make this right, and we’ve sent you a separate email requesting further information so we can better assist you with this. We received out order today have had better quality in the past - this order colour was supposed to be solid blue looks mottled - cheap and card quality cheap. . Doesnt help the brand at all :(
Response from Vistaprint Customer Care Team:
Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We are truly sorry to hear that your recent order didn't meet the high standards you’ve come to expect from us, and we certainly don't want our products to negatively impact your brand. It is disappointing to hear that the solid blue appeared mottled and that the card stock felt lower in quality than your previous orders. To help us investigate exactly what happened during the printing process, could you please respond to this email and share a few images of the business cards you received? Having these visuals will allow our team to compare the physical result with your design file and determine the best way to make this right for you. We look forward to hearing from you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Standard corners tend to give cards a more traditional look – the clean 90-degree cuts feel classic and elegant. Rounded corners create a more modern look and feel – the softer edges add playfulness without sacrificing professionalism.

Absolutely. You can create loyalty cards for repeat customers. Or, add a discount voucher to the back of your card. You can even use them as display cards for jewellery and other crafts. We’re regularly seeing our customers find new ways to “hack” this small but mighty card!

Yes, three of our paper stock options fit the bill:

Corn Stock is an alternative paper made from a mix of recycled fibre, Elemental Chlorine Free pulp and agricultural waste (otherwise discarded in landfills). Corn Stock saves 15% of tree pulp used in manufacturing paper and replaces it with organic produce waste from corn. It reduces carbon emissions by 20% compared to traditional paper production methods.

Kraft paper is crafted from responsibly sourced materials and is both recyclable and compostable.

Recycled Matte is made from 100% post-consumer recycled paper.

No. Different paper stocks absorb ink differently, and this may affect how your design looks when it’s printed. We recommend you consider the following when selecting your paper:

  • Is your design predominantly dark or light? If your design includes darker colours, consider a paper stock with a higher gsm or a coated paper - these options can boost the vibrancy of dark colours. If your design features lighter colours, linen or ridged paper stocks are good choices.
  • Does your design feature all-over colour or simple lines and text? Once again, coated paper stocks are often a suitable choice for designs with a lot of colour because they can make colours appear more vivid and prevent ink from being absorbed too much by the paper. For simple lines and text, consider using cotton and recycled paper stocks for the best results.
Always remember to pick the paper that best suits your design and your general style.

Our brilliant finishes are special upgrades that add more visual interest to your card design. Our spot UV finish applies raised gloss to specific areas of your design, while our metallic finish provides a smooth and shiny accent. With the foil finish, your card will feature a raised and light-catching texture in gold or silver.
Please note that these finishes can only go on the front side of your card.

To create an eye-catching and effective standard business card, we recommend you keep the following three tips in mind:

  • Use no more than 2 fonts. Too many text styles make a design look less professional and it’s harder to read and understand. Font size matters too. Keep headlines big and bold and don’t go below 10 points for your body copy – you want everyone to be able to read what you have to say.
  • Stick to your brand colours to keep things consistent. Plus, make sure your text stands out from the background, so choose the font colour wisely.
  • If you’re uploading a design, make sure it has a resolution of at least 300 DPI, for crisp printing.
  • Remember, your printed design may vary from the digital version you edit. So, make sure to check the design proportions before placing the order, to avoid any distortion.

You can add several elements to your business card to make it informative and engaging:

  • Logo
  • Company name
  • Tagline
  • Your name & title
  • Contact details
  • Your address — website or physical store
  • Social media handles
  • A QR code

For a deep dive into the why and how to use these elements effectively, take a look at our business card info guide.
