Applying your car magnet is easy, and you won’t need any tools for setup:

Clean the vehicle surface and magnetic back with a damp cloth and mild detergent.

Let both your vehicle surface and your car magnet air dry completely.

Apply the magnet to a flat, metallic surface without bumps, curves, or rust. You’ll know the magnet is properly installed if it adheres to the surface, if there are no air bubbles between the magnet and the vehicle surface, and if the magnet (including the corners) is flat against the surface.
Your car magnets can last up to two years if you follow these tips:
- To avoid paint damage, remove and reapply your car magnet every 2-3 days.
- Clean the back of your car sign and vehicle surface weekly with a damp cloth and mild detergent to prevent debris build-up.
- Remove the magnet before washing your vehicle.
- Note: Applying any material to a painted surface without following these application, care, and usage instructions may result in damage to the surface.
No, you’ll want to wait for your paint to cure. This is also the case with a new clear coat or wax job. The recommended wait time is 90 days for a new coat of paint, 60 days for a clear coat and 2 days for wax.
No. We recommend removing the magnet before washing your vehicle.
At least once every 2-3 days, we recommend that you wash and dry the space under your magnet once a week. If you live somewhere that experiences extreme weather, we also recommend you remove your magnet more frequently – ideally once a day – to keep your magnet and car paint looking fresh. Continuous, long-term use without caring for the car surface underneath can run the risk of paint damage.
We recommend that you choose a different yet complementary colour. Not only does this help your magnet stand out but it’s also the easiest way to create a consistent look across multiple vehicles of differing colours. Remember to keep your design simple and clear for optimal results.
If you’re working with a larger truck, you can place your magnet along the sides of the truck bed for more visibility. If you have a van, you could place your magnetic sign on the side panels or even the back door – perfect for staying visible in heavy traffic.
